Almost Over

Although we could move between parks today, we decided to spend the day in DisneySea. It opens later and closes earlier, giving us more time to rest before our final day tomorrow, which will probably be a very busy one moving between parks to take advantage of the longer hours at Disneyland but also getting in plenty of time at DisneySea.
Brock got up earlier than me to pick up breakfast, and he graciously allowed me to sleep in. I thanked him profusely, as getting my post up last night meant I didn't get to bed until almost 2 a.m.
DisneySea opened at 10:00, so we went down to the special MiraCosta entrance. (The one that's a few steps down the hall and an elevator ride away!) We arrived at 9:55 to find that they were already letting hotel guests in, so I rushed over to Tower of Terror (which we've discovered to be the most popular ride in the park) and picked up Fastpasses before a pre-rush walk-on ride.
When the Fastpasses printed out of the machine, I noticed that there were two attached. The bottom one was a Surprise Fastpass, which I've never encountered before. They were for a round trip on the DisneySea Transit Steamer Line. We theorize that they might be issued early in the morning to have people filling the boats as people enter the park. It was still a nice treat to receive, and we really enjoyed the scenic trip around the park.
Speaking of transit, when looking at maps of DisneySea before coming here, I thought the DisneySea Electric Railway seemed a bit of a pointless back-and-forth ride with only two stops. It turned out to be a great foot- and time-saver when making the most of Fastpasses. Plus it's a great way to see portions of the park.
The shot of the stage curtain is from Big Band Beat, an awesome show with a full big band, singing and dancing. It's the first show we've encountered where no photography of any kind is allowed, and they enforced it well. I really wanted to take a picture of Mickey actually playing a full drum set, but you'll just have to see it for yourself one day.
With our room so close, we took a break there from the cold and rested a bit before heading back downstairs to see The Legend of Mythica. We saw it two days ago but wanted a better viewing location. It's a phenomenal production on the water and our favorite show of the trip.
After a quick ride and a relaxing late lunch in The Teddy Roosevelt Lounge on the S.S. Columbia, we went back to the hotel to take care of some leaving arrangements. The photos after the hand stamp are views of the park and resort from windows on our floor.
We took the monorail to Ikspiari for dinner and to pick up breakfast, then it was back to DisneySea for another viewing of BraviSEAmo! in the misting rain. The performance we saw two nights ago was an abbreviated one due to the windy weather, so we got to see a full one before calling it an early night and heading back upstairs to our room, where we did some preliminary packing for our return to the real world. But not until after tomorrow!
