Land Ho

When purchasing tickets for Tokyo Disney Resort Parks, they don't really have a Park Hopper option unless you buy a Three- or Four-Day Passport. And for the first two days of the Passport, you must commit to one specific park. After those two days, you are free to move back and forth between parks.
For our second day of our current passport, we picked Disneyland since there were several shows we wanted to see. This made the most sense for a day assigned to only one park.
As you can see by the photos, the first half of the day was rainy. In the American parks, this means lighter crowds can be expected. The Japanese, however, are used to doing things in the rain, and this has no effect on turnout. With our luck of Fast Passes and desire to see shows, we had a full but not hectic day.
After accomplishing our initial priorities of a ride on Pooh's Hunny Hunt and Space Mountain Fast Passes, we tried our luck at castle-show tickets.
Here, there are benches with assigned seats that are available to all through a lottery. (These mean you can watch the show while comfortably seated. People can still jockey for standing space behind the benches.) You insert all the tickets of your group into a machine, select your preferred show (day or night), press a button and cross your fingers. We've tried almost every day we've been in Disneyland, and the Magic was with us today! (And on the day we'd planned as our show day.) We wanted the night show, which was a good thing: The day show ended up being canceled due to the weather.
The rain finally cleared up in the afternoon, and the temperature quickly dropped. In between two great stage shows, a spectacular parade and a brief fireworks show, we warmed ourselves by lingering in the toasty shops.
After a final ride on Space Mountain (which seemed so much longer after days on the short Raging Spirits at DisneySea), we enjoyed the easy monorail ride home—though not as easy as the elevator ride home from DisneySea last night!
